Defending champions Zesco United have opened a seven point lead of the FAZ/MTN super league after they defeated Red Arrows 2-nil in a week 21 fixture played at Nkoloma stadium in Lusaka on Saturday.
Winston Kalengo scored in each half to left his team to 49 points seven better than second placed Power Dynamos who lost one nil to Mighty Mfulira Wanderers.
And Zesco coach George Lwandamina has heaped praises on his side for showing resilience in the game against Red Arrows.
Meanwhile, Red Arrows coach Mathews Phiri conceded defeat to Zesco and blade his defence for the loss.
Other results saw Nchanga Rangers beating Nkwazi one nil as National Assembly’s bad performance continued with a three nil loss to Konkola Blades away in Chililabombwe.
Napsa Stars lost one nil to Zanaco with Lusaka Dynamos also losing one nil to Green Buffaloes.
Nakambala Leopards beat forest Rangers two one while Green Eagles lost two nil to Nkana.
