Zesco United striker Winston Kalengo (affectionately known as Winston Kalengoal by the Colombian Zesco United fans) is looking the "real deal" after scoring a beauty of a goal reminiscent of the legendary Didier Drogba, to help lift Zambia to victory over Kenya.
The Zesco United frontman was pivotal in Zambia's 2-1 away victory, as he scored an equalizer to ensure that the managerless Southern African team came from a goal down to earn maximum points at the Nyao Nyao Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya.
Everything was impressive about Winston Kalengo.
He is tailor-made for the national team.
The way he runs the line, in behind and can hold the ball up, he is going to love playing for the Zambian national team and the fans will love him.
He is already a fan favorite amongst the Zesco United Colombian fans' community.
He is looking the real deal.
When it is not going as it should for them they have a goalscorer who can get them out of it.
The win sees Zambia sitting in second spot in the 2017 Africa Cupâ„¢ qualifying group after two games.
And Kalengo could add a further historic flourish to a spectacular start to his Zambian national team career in Tuesday's clash with West African outfit, Gabon.
He has scored 3 goals in his 3 games played for the national team - a true striker's record.
The great Brazil team which won the 1994 World Cup relied on the very sharp striker Bebeto, who had been plying his trade in Brazil, and was top scorer.
Therefore few would back against Kalengo continuing his prolific form for the national team.
He is already a household name to the Colombian Zesco United fans' community, therefore he can easily win the hearts of the Zambian fans should he continue to perform.
Considering his sensational form for the national team, the easy assumption is that Kalengo is a natural-born goalscorer who has always been a prolific marksman.
That is far from the case, however.
Until just over 12 months ago, he had a very different profile and looked more likely to spend his career as a player decent enough for not much more than just the Zambian league, rather than "one of the greatest strikers in the world", as British pundits recently called him following his monstrous performance against Kenya.
