¡QUÉ CRACK WINSTON KALENGO (aka WIN-STONE KalenGOAL) ES! ¡MUCHAS FELICIDADES POR SU GOL NUMERO 100!

A household name among the Colombian Zesco United supporters, and the name on their lips.

Who ever thought that at 30 years old, Winston Kalengo would reach the peak of his footballing career and reach a landmark by scoring his 13th goal of the season, and his 100th in his career in the Primera Division de Zambia?

Some could have anticipated that because he is a born and natural goalscorer.

But his Colombian fanbase, and the nickname(s) they have given him (like WIN-STONE KalenGOAL) — simply astonishing.

Kalengo, who has never played for any club outside Zambia, signed for Zesco on 1st July 2011 from Zanaco FC.

He is undoubtedly going to finish as this year's top scorer as he opened a 4 goals gap on top from second placed Adamson Mulao of Green Eagles who has 9 goals.

Kalengo was born on 29th august, 1985 in Livingstone and has been in the Primera Division de Zambia for over 10 years but like good wine, he has taken long to develop into a perfect player until recently he was not popular among football enthusiasts.

He scored for Zambia in both games against Namibia and also scored the winner penalty to qualify Zambia for CHAN games. He didn't stop there but scored in the most important game for Chipolopolo as the lads overcame Kenya in the 2017 Afcon qualifiers.

Zesco United might just clean out all trophies and George Lwandamina may as well defend his Coach of the year title.
