
ZESCO United will be seeking a third win over Power Dynamos when they clash in a Week 27 match at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola on Wednesday.
Leaders Zesco have 60 points, seven better than Zanaco, who are away to Nkwazi on Wednesday.
Third-placed Power have 51 points with four games remaining before the end of the season.The reigning champions cannot afford to lose this match because they are a stone throw away from winning the fifth title.
Zesco drew 2-2 with Green Eagles in Choma last Saturday while Power beat tailenders National Assembly 2-0 in Kitwe on the same day.
Zesco have beaten Power twice this year both in Kitwe.
Zesco thumped Power 3-1 in the Charity Shield final at Nkana Stadium on March 7 and won 2-0 in a league match at Arthur Davies Stadium on July 9.
This puts George Lwandamina’s side favourites to continue with their dominance over the Kitwe side.
Lwandamina will rely on Winston Kalengo for goals.
Kalengo has a good scoring record against Power and will be looking forward to increasing on his tally.
He is the Super Division topscorer with 14 goals.
Kalengo and Jonas Sakuwaha contributed a goal each in the 2-0 win over Power in a rescheduled Week 12 tie.
The Ndola side will also rely on the 12th player the fans for victory.
With the fans dancing and beating drums in the terraces, the players will be inspired to beat Power a football lesson again.
