The Ndola side vanquished their guests to complete a league double following a 2-0 away win in Kitwe on July 9 having beaten earlier in March to win the season opener Charity shield.

Zesco have reached an unassailable 63 points that second placed Zanaco, on 54 points, cannot breach in the remaining three matches.

Goals by Cletus Chota, John Chingandu and Winston Kalengo put Zesco on course for a league and cup double with the Barclays Cup semifinals looming on Sunday against Green Buffaloes in Lusaka.

Zesco and Power went into the break scoreless after an evenly contested first half.

However, Zesco took the lead immediately after the restart when Chota fired in a fine shot after some good work by Kalengo.

It took until stoppage tie for the last two goals to come but not before Power goalkeeper Allan Chibwe denied Kalengo when he parried the strikers 74th minute effort.

Chingandu made it 2-0 in the 90th minute after benefiting from an audacious sweeping move by Chota and Kalengo.

Kalengo added the final goal 4 minutes deep into time-added-on when he powered his way past two Power defenders before beating Chibwe.
