
Defender Bornwell Silengo is expected to be out of action for the next eight months following a successful operation at Fortis Memorial hospital in India.
Team physiotherapist Chuma Mwiinga who took Silengo told us in an interview upon arrival on Thursday that the interview that the operation was successful and the rehabilitation program has already started.
“The operation was successful and the ligament repair was done successfully. We would like to thank the Doctors at the Italian Orthopedic Hospital in Lusaka and the team of doctors in India who worked on Silengo... It can’t go without mentioning that the management of Zesco United FC has been so supportive to the player,” he said.
Mwiinga said the program for Silengo’s rehabilitation has been drawn and he will be attending his review at the Italian hospital in December.
The Zesco United Colombian fans' community wishes Silengo a quick recovery.
Meanwhile, Injured Striker Humphrey Maseneko is recovering steadily and has since started walking without the aid of crutches. Nyambe Mulenga is also recovering well and both have started the rehabilitation process.
