Jacob Banda, the first-choice goalkeeper of the back-to-back Zambian Super League defending champions, has been declared fit to play by the Ndola Central Hospital Cardiac department in the latest ECG test which they conducted.

Zesco United's team doctor Stephen Mbewe said Jacob Banda is fit to resume training next week.

According to the medical report stated that no cardio abnormalities had been detected in the goalkeeper.

"The last report shows that Jacob who had been out for less than the prescribed two months is able to start training with the rest of the team."

Towards the end of May, Jacob Banda was granted sick leave due to a suspected cardio vascular problem.

The diagnosis stated that he had a clot near his heart cavity that was causing him to be fatigued constantly.
