Kenyan international striker Jesse Were scored to rescue a 1-1 home draw for Zesco United against Mufulira Wanderers in the Zambian Super League. The visitors were the first to register their goal in the first-half courtesy of Ghanaian striker Rahin Osman before former Tusker FC forward converted at the stroke of half-time whistle for Zesco United.

Efforts from both sides in search of a winner never bore any fruits as the entire second half ended without a goal but Zesco definitely went home happy going by the fact that they still managed to squeeze the lead gap behind leaders Zanaco FC.
Were’s performance is a continuation of his match’s show against Red Arrows where he scored and provided an assist before his side drew against Green Buffaloes on Saturday.
