Clatous Chama is arguably the most important player on the pitch as far as the creative aspect of game Zesco United's gameplay is concerned, and also helps a lot in recovering from dangerous situations and taking the sting out of games, then we have the experience of Maybin Mwaba on the bench to come on as a potential super sub, then we have Clatous controlling the midfield alongside Chaila and Akumu. Without a doubt Jesse Were certainly is one of the most effective finishers in the Zambian Premier League .
We are all aware of the sheer quality Chama possesses, but one aspect of his game he could improve is his work rate, with stiff competition in midfield from hardworking players like Akumu who are hungry for game time.
Chama as a defensive midfielder will never work. Against bigger sides, Zesco need to work on better passing and control of the ball, so that they are not forced into resolute defending sitting too deep. I do not know why they sold to Kalengo because he formed the balance in the team with a reliable midfield. Imagine if we still had him around along with the likes of Akumu and Were, Zesco would have a medium very strong midfield.
